The Bavarian Pine Vole (Microtus bavaricus) is a species in the genus Microtus. It is currently classified as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List. Typically found in diverse terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.

Sphingomonas panni is a yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative aerobic bacterium first isolated from a nylon-degrading environment. It inhabits industrial and contaminated soil environments where synthetic polymers may be present. This bacterium degrades nylon oligomers and participates in the breakdown of synthetic organic compounds.
