Chubby Grimmia
The Chubby Grimmia (Schistidium flaccidum) is a small acrocarpous moss in the family Grimmiaceae, found on acidic rock surfaces across northern Europe and Scandinavia. Despite its common name, the species belongs to the genus Schistidium rather than Grimmia, although the two genera are closely related within the family. S. flaccidum grows in compact cushion-forming tufts on siliceous boulders, cliff faces, and rocky outcrops in humid, often montane environments.
