The Arctic skate (Amblyraja hyperborea) is a species in the genus Amblyraja. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. Native to Europe, inhabiting ecosystems characteristic of the region.
Sphingobacterium cladoniae is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium first isolated from the lichen Cladonia. It inhabits lichen thalli and associated substrates in temperate and boreal environments. This bacterium may play roles in nutrient cycling within the lichen microbiome, degrading organic compounds from algal and fungal lichen components.
