The American Buckeye (Aesculus glabra) is a species in the genus Aesculus. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. Typically found in diverse terrestrial habitats from tropical forests to temperate regions.
Zimmermannella alba is a Gram-positive, white-pigmented actinobacterium in the family Microbacteriaceae, isolated from plant-associated or soil environments. It is aerobic and rod-shaped, forming bright white colonies on standard culture media. Its genus is named in honor of the botanist Albrecht Wilhelm Philipp Zimmermann.
