The American Black-Fish (Globicephala melas) is a species in the genus Globicephala. Typically found in diverse terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
Vibrio mimicus is a Gram-negative, curved rod closely related to Vibrio cholerae but biochemically distinct. It inhabits coastal seawater, estuaries, and shellfish in warm tropical and subtropical marine environments. This facultatively anaerobic bacterium can cause gastrointestinal illness in humans who consume contaminated raw seafood.
