Habitat & Geographic Range
Alupa
Inhabits Mediterranean forests and woodlands and deserts and xeric shrublands within the Palearctic biogeographic realm. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.

Sphingobium chlorophenolicum is a gram-negative bacterium in the family Sphingomonadaceae, renowned for its ability to degrade pentachlorophenol (PCP), a persistent organochlorine pollutant.
