The Alder Spittlebug (Aphrophora alni) is a species in the genus Aphrophora. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. Typically found in virtually all terrestrial and freshwater habitats.
Dolichospermum danicum is a planktonic, filamentous cyanobacterium in the family Aphanizomenonaceae, first described from Danish freshwater habitats. It produces heterocysts for nitrogen fixation and is capable of forming buoyant surface blooms in eutrophic lakes. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
