The African civet (Civettictis civetta) is a species in the genus Civettictis. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. This species inhabits Typically found in diverse terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, found across Germany and Sao Tome and Principe.

Sphingopyxis chilensis is a gram-negative, aerobic bacterium in the family Sphingomonadaceae, originally isolated from environmental samples in Chile. Like other members of the genus, it is characterised by sphingolipid-containing cell membranes. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
