Arundinibacter roseus is a pink-pigmented Gram-negative bacterium isolated from reed bed environments, as suggested by its genus name (Arundo meaning reed). It inhabits freshwater and wetland habitats, particularly those associated with emergent macrophytes. The rose pigmentation may provide protection against photodamage in shallow aquatic environments.
