横纹小鹦鹉(Bolborhynchus lineola)是新大陆鹦鹉中体型最小的种类之一,栖息于从墨西哥南部至厄瓜多尔西部的中南美洲海拔1200至3000米的湿润山地森林。其绿色底色上特有的黑色横纹羽毛提供了出色的林冠伪装。常结成小群觅食种子和浆果,尤其偏爱竹林。相较于其他鹦鹉较为安静低调,野外研究甚少,部分鸟类爱好者有饲养记录。
