The Bisamratte (Ondatra zibethicus) is a species in the genus Ondatra. Typically found in diverse terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
Pontibacter korlensis is a Gram-negative, orange-pigmented bacterium first isolated from saline soils near Korla, Xinjiang, China. It inhabits arid desert soils and saline terrestrial environments of Central Asia. This aerobic chemoheterotroph produces carotenoid pigments and is adapted to extreme arid and saline conditions.
