Delicata verena is a very small, resupinate corticioid basidiomycete forming delicate, whitish to transparent crusts on dead wood substrates. It inhabits moist temperate and boreal forests, growing on fallen twigs and small branches. This saprotrophic fungus decomposes dead woody material through enzymatic activity in humid forest environments.
