Luteimonas abyssi is a gram-negative bacterium in the family Xanthomonadaceae, isolated from deep-sea (abyssal) environments. It is adapted to high-pressure, low-temperature conditions and contributes to organic matter cycling in the deep ocean. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
Luteimonas padinae is a yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative bacterium first isolated from the brown alga Padina in marine environments. It inhabits coastal marine habitats, particularly in association with macroalgae. This aerobic chemoheterotroph degrades organic compounds derived from algal tissues and marine organic matter.
