Aphanocapsa hyalina is a colonial cyanobacterium in the family Merismopediaceae that forms loosely aggregated cells within a colourless or pale gelatinous matrix. It inhabits freshwater and terrestrial environments including the surfaces of moist rocks and bark. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
