Novosphingobium taihuense is a gram-negative bacterium in the family Sphingomonadaceae, originally isolated from Lake Taihu, China. Like other Novosphingobium species, it is capable of degrading aromatic compounds and is found in freshwater and soil environments. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
