Sistotrema diademiferum is a resupinate basidiomycete fungus forming whitish to cream-coloured patches on dead wood and bark of broadleaf and coniferous trees in temperate forests. It is a wood decomposer contributing to nutrient cycling through saprotrophic activity on fallen branches and logs. This species is found across Europe and North America in woodland habitats.
Sistotrema pistilliferum is a corticioid basidiomycete forming thin, white to cream-colored, waxy resupinate crusts on decaying wood. It inhabits temperate and boreal forests, growing on fallen logs and branches of hardwood and conifer trees. This saprotrophic fungus decomposes dead woody material through white-rot enzymatic processes.
