Phormidium diguetii is a filamentous cyanobacterium in the family Phormidiaceae, described from warm or arid environments. Like other Phormidium species, it forms gliding trichomes in mats on soil and rock surfaces. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
Phormidium productum is a filamentous cyanobacterium in the family Phormidiaceae that forms expansive mats or biofilms in freshwater and marine benthic environments. Its trichomes glide within mucilaginous sheaths and contribute to primary production in shallow habitats. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
