Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, and deserts and xeric shrublands. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.

Pedobacter suwonensis is a gram-negative bacterium in the family Sphingobacteriaceae, originally isolated from soil in Suwon, South Korea. Like other members of the genus, it is an aerobic organism with hydrolytic capabilities and is found in diverse terrestrial environments. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
