Rhizobium gallicum e uma alfaproteobacteria fixadora de nitrogenio da familia Rhizobiaceae capaz de nodular e fixar nitrogenio em simbiose com diversas plantas leguminosas hospedeiras na Europa. Foi inicialmente isolada de nodulos radiculares de plantas de feijao na Franca (Galia) e exibe especificidade moderada por hospedeiros em comparacao com outras rizobias. Contribui para o enriquecimento natural de nitrogenio no solo em ecossistemas agricolas e naturais.

Habitat & Distribution

Native to Asia, inhabiting ecosystems characteristic of the region.
