O andorinhão-da-chaminé (Chaetura pelagica) é um apodídeo altamente aéreo que cria em colônias no leste da América do Norte e inverna na bacia amazônica. Antigamente nidificava em árvores ocas, mas adaptou-se a usar chaminés como locais de nidificação e pouso comunitário. Captura insetos em voo continuo.
