Rhizobium laguerreae e uma alfaproteobacteria fixadora de nitrogenio da familia Rhizobiaceae capaz de formar nodulos radiculares simbioticos em diversas especies de leguminosas. Fixa nitrogenio atmosferico em troca de carbono organico fornecido pela planta hospedeira, contribuindo para a fertilidade do solo e reduzindo a necessidade de fertilizantes nitrogenados sinteticos. A especie foi nomeada em homenagem a microbiologista Dra. Laguerre.
