Myriosclerotinia curreyana e um fungo ascomiceto semelhante a Sclerotinia que produz apotecios em forma de copo a partir de esclerotios invernados enterrados no solo ou em restos vegetais. Cresce em habitats temperados associados aos restos de Carex e plantas relacionadas com ciperaceas. Este fungo saprotrofico decompoe materia organica de ciperaceas em habitats de prado umido e turfeiras.
