Habitat & Geographic Range
Komodo Dragon
Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, and tropical and subtropical grasslands and savannas, among 4 distinct biome types spanning the Australasia and Indomalayan realms. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.
Found in Indonesia. Currently classified as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, this species faces significant conservation challenges across its range.
Native to Asia, inhabiting ecosystems characteristic of the region.
Found in Taiwan.

Sphingopyxis granuli e uma alfaproteobacteria gramnegativa da familia Sphingomonadaceae, caracterizada por colonias de pigmentacao amarela e pela presenca de esfingolipideos em sua membrana, traco compartilhado em toda a familia. Foi isolada de material associado a granulos e e aerobia, com forma de bastonete e motilidade propria. As especies de Sphingopyxis sao comuns em solos, agua doce e ambientes associados a plantas.
