Inocybe mixtilis é um pequeno cogumelo de chapéu fibroso do grande gênero Inocybe, com um chapéu cônico a umbonado e um odor farináceo. Forma associações ectomicorrízicas com árvores caducifólias, particularmente carvalho e faia, em florestas europeias temperadas. Este fungo troca nutrientes do solo por açúcares produzidos fotossinteticamente com suas árvores hospedeiras.
