O periquito-de-fischer (Agapornis fischeri) é um papagaio pequeno e vibrante nativo dos bosques de savana e bordas florestais ao redor do Lago Vitória, na Tanzânia e no Quênia. Tem plumagem verde com cabeça e garganta laranja vivo e bico vermelho brilhante. Formam laços de casal fortes, fazendo a toalete mútua constantemente — o comportamento que deu origem ao nome "inseparáveis". Classificado como Quase Ameaçado devido à captura intensa para o comércio mundial de animais de estimação.
