Calogaya pusilla é um pequeno líquen folioso ou placodioide de cor laranja a amarela, crescendo sobre superfícies rochosas ricas em cálcio e paredes de pedra antigas em habitats abertos e ensolarados. Pertence a um gênero de líquenes de cores vivas dependentes de substratos específicos ricos em nutrientes ou calcáreos. Classificado como Em Perigo, esta espécie está ameaçada pela perda de estruturas de pedra tradicionais.
