Staphylococcus arlettae e um coco Gram-positivo coagulase-negativo que forma agrupamentos semelhantes a cachos de uva. Foi isolado da superficie cutanea de animais domesticos, incluindo aves de criacao e cabras. Esta bacteria comensal habita a pele e as superficies mucosas de mamiferos e aves, raramente causando doenca, mas ocasionalmente encontrada em amostras clinicas.
