Um felino de médio porte pesando até 26 kg, os leopardos-nublados habitam florestas tropicais e subtropicais desde o Himalaia oriental até ao Sudeste Asiático e Bornéu. Nomeado pelas suas marcas de pelagem em forma de nuvem, possui os dentes caninos mais longos em relação ao tamanho do crânio de qualquer felino selvagem e é um trepador excecional capaz de descer de árvores de cabeça para baixo.
