Clastidium setigerum é uma cianobactéria filamentosa da família Clastidiaceae, caracterizada por produzir filamentos que se afilam ancorados a substratos por uma célula de fixação basal. Cresce em algas mais grossas, invertebrados e substratos rochosos em ambientes dulciaquícolas ou marinhos. O seu único tricoma em forma de pelo que termina num longo pelo incolor é uma característica morfológica distintiva deste género.
