Mollisia ramealis e um pequeno fungo em disco de cor cinza a cinza-olivacea que produz apotecios em forma de xicara sobre material vegetal herboxes e lenhoso morto. Habita florestas temperadas e sebes da Europa, crescendo em galhos e caules mortos. Este ascomiceto saprotrofico decompoe tecido vegetal morto em ambientes umidos do sub-bosque florestal.
