Bamboo bear

O panda-gigante (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) é um animal emblemático da China, célebre pela sua pelagem branca e preta e pela dieta baseada quase exclusivamente em bambu. Seu estado de conservação é vulnerável (VU), é o animal-bandeira da conservação internacional da vida silvestre e sua população apresentou alguma recuperação nos últimos anos.

Trapeliopsis glaucolepidea e um liquen crustoso com um talo glaucoso e granular formando manchas em solos e substratos rochosos. Habita solos minerais abertos, areas de charneca arenosa e terrenos perturbados em ambientes europeus temperados e boreais. Este liquen coloniza solos acidos descobertos e contribui para a estabilizacao precoce do solo na sucessao.
