Bamboo bear

O panda-gigante (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) é um animal emblemático da China, célebre pela sua pelagem branca e preta e pela dieta baseada quase exclusivamente em bambu. Seu estado de conservação é vulnerável (VU), é o animal-bandeira da conservação internacional da vida silvestre e sua população apresentou alguma recuperação nos últimos anos.

Protoparmeliopsis achariana e um liquen crustoso foliose com um talo areolado cinza-amarelado encontrado em superficies de rocha nua. Habita faces de rocha calcaria expostas e afloramentos secos e ensolarados na Europa temperada e mediterranea. Este liquen obtem energia pela fotossintese e erosao de substratos minerais, contribuindo para a colonizacao de superficies rochosas.
