Trechispora microspora e um fungo corticiode que produz esporos muito pequenos, como seu nome indica. Cresce como uma crosta branca a creme fina na parte inferior de troncos de latifolias e coniferas em decomposicao em florestas temperadas e boreais. Este fungo saprotrofico decompoe material lenhoso morto, contribuindo para o ciclo de nutrientes nos ecossistemas florestais.
