Apiognomonia erythrostoma é um patógeno fúngico responsável pela queima foliar e mancha foliar das cerejeiras, causando lesões amarelo-amarronzadas e desfolha precoce em cerejeiras (espécies de Prunus) e rosáceas de caroço afins. Passa o inverno em folhas caídas infectadas e dispersa ascósporos durante o tempo úmido da primavera para iniciar novas infecções. Este patógeno afeta tanto árvores Prunus silvestres quanto cultivadas em regiões temperadas.
