Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.

Habita agua do mar costeira, estuarios e frutos do mar em ambientes marinhos tropicais e subtropicais quentes. Esta bacteria facultativamente anaerobia pode causar doenca gastrointestinal em humanos que consomem frutos do mar crus contaminados.
