About

붉은이마잉꼬(Cyanoramphus novaezelandiae)는 선명한 붉은 두정부와 뺨 패치를 가진 소형 밝은 녹색 잉꼬로, 뉴질랜드 고유종이며 해수면에서 고산 지대까지의 숲에 서식한다. 적응력이 높아 씨앗, 꽃, 열매, 곤충을 먹는다. 도입된 쥐, 족제비, 고양이 등 포식자로 인해 본토에서는 멸종위기에 처했으나, 포유류가 없는 근해 섬에서는 건강한 개체군을 유지하고 있다. 보전 이식과 포식자 통제 프로그램이 본토 회복을 지원하고 있다.
