붉은아바다밧(Amandava amandava)은 남아시아 및 동남아시아 삼림의 화려하게 채색된 소형 되새로, 번식기 수컷은 온몸에 흰 점이 있는 진한 진홍색 깃털을 자랑한다. 파키스탄과 인도에서 인도네시아 동쪽에 이르는 물가 근처 키 큰 초지, 갈대밭, 관목지에 서식한다. 아시아 전역에서 인기 있는 애완용 새로 유럽, 일본, 카리브해 일부에 도입 개체군이 정착했다. 무리 지어 생활하며 조용하고 음악적인 울음소리를 낸다.
