콜롬비아에서 볼리비아에 이르는 안데스 산악림에 서식하는 중대형 벌새인 목테두리잉카벌새는 넓은 흰색 가슴 띠와 비행 중 잘 보이는 뚜렷한 흰색 꼬리 반점을 가진 눈에 띄는 흑백 깃털을 가지고 있습니다. 해발 1,700-3,200미터의 삼림 및 삼림 가장자리에 서식하며 다양한 꽃식물에서 먹이를 찾고 안데스의 대형 꽃 관목과 나무의 중요한 수분 매개자입니다. 대조적인 흰 꼬리 반점은 제자리 비행 중 두드러지게 번쩍이며 종 식별에 도움을 줍니다.
