Purplish-mantled Tanager

보라등탄가라(Iridosornis porphyrocephalus)는 깊은 보라-파란 등과 밤색 옆구리, 검은 얼굴과 날개가 대비되는 화려한 안데스 탄가라이다. 콜롬비아와 에콰도르 해발 1,000~2,200미터의 습한 운무림과 숲 가장자리에 서식한다. 수컷의 수관에서 빛나는 자주색 등 깃털은 화려하게 무지개빛을 띤다. 쌍과 소군집으로 삼림 내부와 가장자리에서 서식하며 과실과 곤충을 먹는다. 콜롬비아와 에콰도르 운무림의 상당한 산림 파괴로 취약(VU) 종으로 등재되었다.
