Spectacled Parrotlet

세계에서 가장 작은 앵무 중 하나로, 안경 앵무새는 몸길이가 불과 12cm에 달하며 콜롬비아, 파나마, 베네수엘라의 습한 숲과 삼림 가장자리에 서식한다. 수컷의 두드러진 파란 눈 고리에서 이름이 유래하였으며, 이 초소형 녹색 앵무들은 무리를 이루어 씨앗, 열매, 과일을 채집하며 숲 수관을 시끄럽게 이동한다. 많은 소형 신열대 앵무처럼 서식지 삼림 벌채로 인한 압박을 받는다. 소형 크기와 호기심 많은 성격으로 인해 조류 사육에서도 인기가 있다.
