Habitat

Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, and tropical and subtropical grasslands and savannas, among 4 distinct biome types spanning the Australasia and Indomalayan realms. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.

Komodo Dragon

코모도왕도마뱀(Varanus komodoensis)은 현존하는 가장 큰 도마뱀이다. 인도네시아의 몇몇 섬에서만 서식한다.

Nodularia litorea는 기수에서 해양 조건까지 다양한 염분을 견디며 연안 및 하구 환경에서 발견되는 실 모양의 질소 고정 남세균이다. 교대하는 영양 세포와 이형세포로 이루어진 짧은 트리코마를 형성한다. 다른 Nodularia 종처럼 조류 대발생 조건에서 간독소(노둘라린)를 생성할 수 있어 수생 생물과 수질에 위험을 초래한다.
