Glowing Puffleg

빛나는솜다리벌새는 콜롬비아에서 에콰도르 남부에 이르는 북부 안데스 산지에 서식하는 화려한 솜다리벌새로, 밝은 빛 아래에서 거의 발광하는 듯한 선명한 무지개빛 녹색 깃털을 지니며, 이것이 종의 이름에 영감을 주었다. 해발 1,800~3,500m의 습한 산지 숲에서 서식한다. 수컷은 흰색 다리 솜털과 반짝이는 보라색-파란색 꼬리를 특징으로 한다. 안데스 고산 꽃 식물의 중요한 수분 매개자이며, 최소 관심으로 분류된다.
