Buckelwal

혹등고래는 대형 고래 중 가장 활발한 곡예를 선보이는 종으로, 번식기에 수컷이 부르는 복잡하고 신비로운 노래로 유명합니다. 일부는 몇 시간씩 지속되며 시간이 지남에 따라 진화합니다. 체장 16미터, 체중 30톤에 달하며 포유류 중 가장 긴 이주를 수행합니다. 모든 대양에서 발견되며 크릴과 작은 물고기를 협동 거품그물 먹이 방식으로 포식합니다. 과거 포경으로 크게 감소했던 개체군이 대부분 회복되었습니다.

Lepocinclis marssonii는 Phacaceae과에 속하는 단세포 광합성 유글레나류 편모충으로, 탄소 저장 화합물인 파라밀론 과립을 가진 견고한 방추형 내지 타원형 세포체가 특징입니다. 부영양 내지 중영양 담수 연못, 도랑, 습지에 서식하며 식물플랑크톤 군집에 기여합니다. 같은 속의 유글레나와 달리, Lepocinclis 세포는 형태 변형(metaboly)이 불가능한 단단한 외피를 가집니다.
