シロガシラキンパラ(Lonchura maja)は、独特の白い頭部と栗色の脇腹を持つ中型の社会性エストリルドフィンチで、タイからフィリピンまでの東南アジア全域の森林・二次林・水田に生息する。草の種子や稲を大群で採食する高度に群れる性質を持つ。白い頭部が暗褐色の体と鮮明に対比し、視覚的に最も特徴的なキンパラの一つである。アジアでは人気の飼い鳥で、飼育下での繁殖も容易である。
