バンドウィングナイトジャー(Systellura longirostris)は南米中部〜南部の開けた乾燥草地・岩礫地・低木林に生育するヨタカ科の鳥で、飛翔時に翅の白い帯が目立つ。IUCNレッドリストでは軽度懸念(LC)に分類されており、夜行性で大きな口を開けて昆虫を空中捕食する。地面に直接産卵し、完全な保護色により静止時には岩石・枯葉と見分けがつかない巧みなカモフラージュ戦略を持つ。
