ボルティモアムクドリモドキ(Icterus galbula)は北米東部〜中米で繁殖し、冬季は中南米へ渡る渡り鳥で、雄の鮮やかな橙と黒の体色が美しい。IUCNレッドリストでは軽度懸念(LC)に分類されており、メリーランド州の州鳥・ボルティモア・オリオールズのチーム名の由来でもある。メキシコ湾を一気に渡る長距離渡りを行い、針状の先が精巧に編み込まれた深い袋状の巣を木の枝先に吊り下げて営巣する。
