ネズミエリボウシインコ

ウロコエリアマゾン(Amazona mercenaria)は、独特の暗い鱗状の後頸部の羽と翼の赤い斑点を持つ大型の主に緑色のアマゾンインコで、コロンビア、ベネズエラ、エクアドル、ペルーの北部および中部アンデスの海抜600~3,000mの湿潤な山岳林に生息する。種子、果実、花を食べ、雲霧林でつがいか小群で見られる。軽度懸念に分類されている。

ミミグロハチドリ

ハチドリの中で単色または虹色の羽毛が主流な中、珍しく班点や斑点のある下面を持つ中型のハチドリで、コロンビアとベネズエラからボリビア南部まで標高900〜3,000メートルのアンデスの雲霧林と林縁に生息する。班点のある下面パターンは、苔に覆われた樹皮に止まる際に卓越した迷彩効果を提供する。蜜と小型節足動物を採食し、アンデスの着生植物の重要な花粉媒介者として機能する。
