Stenotrophomonas daejeonensis はザントモナダセアエ科に属するグラム陰性ガンマプロテオバクテリアで、韓国の大田で採取された土壌試料から最初に分離された。好気性・桿状であり、極性鞭毛によって運動性を示す。他の Stenotrophomonas 種と同様に広範な酵素活性を示し、土壌、水、臨床検体を含む多様な環境から分離されている。
