Golovinomyces orontiiは、Erysiphaceae科に属するうどんこ病菌で、シロイヌナズナを含む幅広い宿主植物に白い粉状の被膜を引き起こす絶対寄生的な活物寄生性病原菌である。モデル生物としてのシロイヌナズナの広範な利用により、植物と菌類の相互作用と免疫応答の研究における重要なモデル病原菌となっている。胞子は風によって分散し、菌類は生きた葉の表面のみで生活環を完成させる。
