シマムネサルタトル(Saltator striatipectus)はコロンビア、エクアドル、パナマの太平洋沿岸低地に生息する中型のサルタトルで、胸部と脇腹に茶色と白の太い縞模様があることから名付けられました。森林縁辺、藪地、二次林に生息し、ペアや小集団で種子や果実を採食します。最小懸念種に指定されていますが、農業の拡大と森林破壊によってますます脅かされている太平洋低地の限られた分布域を持ちます。サルタトル特有の豊かな口笛のような声を発します。
